1870 Census

The 1870 census of Wayne Borough
(which was to become Starrucca Borough three years later)
provides, in the order given:

LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, AGE, PERSONAL STATUS,
VALUE OF REAL PROPERTY, VALUE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY,
COUNTRY OF BIRTH, ADD'L INFO

such as whether father and/or mother were foreign born (indicated here by the letters
F and M), if an eligible voter (V), if illiterate (I), if a student (S). A number of infant
deaths seem to be noted. It is thought a page of the census may be missing.
(An "x" indicates no notation for that category.)
Order and spellings are as they appear in the booklet text.
